Reconstruction of a breast that has been partially or totally removed due to cancer or other diseases is a major challenge for the plastic surgeon who must bring all his experience, as each case requires individual consideration. The reconstruction can be immediate (with simultaneous removal surgery) or delayed (some time later). It may take more than one surgical time.
