Blepharoplasty
It is a surgery designed to correct flaccidity and wrinkles of the eyelids and remove the bags of fat.
The sachets are small hernias of the fat that surrounds the eye, that when not being contained by a partition, bulge the skin in a visible way. It consists of removing excess skin, part of the fat and repairing the partitions, to prevent them from appearing again. Sometimes the surgery is combined with a small face lift or some type of filling, to obtain a better result. An ophthalmological check should be performed prior to the intervention.
The surgery is ambulatory and is performed under local anesthesia with sedation. The procedure lasts between 1 and 2 hours. The recovery time is variable, but it usually requires between 3 and 5 days to restart the patient’s activities and between 2 and 3 weeks to be in good condition. The results remain for the next 5 to 10 years.
