Abdomen and Thighs: flaccidity and adiposis

Dermolipectomy – Minidermolipectomy
The objective of this procedure is to remove excess skin and fat and reshape the muscles to improve the appearance in patients with prominent abdomen and / or flaccidity. Post-bariatric aesthetic surgery is also performed (after a gastric banding or a gastric by-pass). It consists of removing excess tissue, sometimes supplementing with a liposuction of the flanks.

There are techniques that combine liposuction with a small dermolipectomy (Lipoabdominoplasty) that has a faster recovery. In some cases it is also necessary to remove excess skin on the inner side of the thighs. Anesthesia can be local with support or general and the intervention can be outpatient or inpatient. The duration is 2 to 3 hours and the results are durable while the patient maintains the weight.

The recovery is from 7 to 15 days and it takes a little more than a month to resume physical activities.
