Adiposis localized

Lipoaspiration / Liposculpture
The procedure is used to remove excess fatty deposits located in areas of the body that do not respond to diet and exercise, and that generally have a strong genetic load. The most frequent areas are jowls, arms, abdomen, back, hips, buttocks, thighs and legs. It is done using a cannula that emits ultrasound and aspirates simultaneously. There are two methods to perform lipoaspiración: direct aspiration with cannulas of different thickness; or the application of ultrasound to transform the fat into an oil first, then aspirate it (liposculpture). We perform both methods, but usually and according to the areas to be treated, we prefer the latter. This type of ultrasonic lipoaspiración selectively destroys the content of the fat cell, respecting the support of connective tissue, collagen, nerves, arteries and veins, causing scarce traumatism to the tissues. In this way what is aspired is the melted fat, which allows to obtain a homogeneous result with a significant skin retraction effect. It can be used as a complement to other surgeries. The duration of the procedure is 1 to 2 hours, depending on the extent of the surgery. Anesthesia is local with anesthetic support and does not require admission. The initial recovery is rapid, lasts in a few days to 1 or 2 weeks, and for intense activity re requires waiting between 2 and 4 weeks. The final result can be seen after 1 to 3 months. To maintain the result it is important not to gain weight and perform physical activities.

Based on our experience, suction lymphatic drainage (endermology) is recommended as a highly effective complementary treatment in a variable number of sessions (from 6 to 10), which produces an important acceleration in the postoperative recovery of lipoaspiradas zones.
