Rhinoplasty
The objective is to treat nasal deformities without changing the face, but correcting the defects that the patient presents so that the nose keeps harmony with the face (for example: remove the hump, refine the nasal tip, shorten or shrink the nose, treat the large orifices and in cases with obstructive respiratory problems, solve them).
Sometimes it is suggested to add a plastic chin to improve the profile.
When respiratory failure is important, it may be necessary to perform surgery in conjunction with an otolaryngologist.
The surgery is ambulatory under local anesthesia and sedation. Initial recovery is between one and two weeks, but the nose slowly achieves its final appearance within 6 to 9 months. The duration of the procedure ranges from 1 to 2 hours and the result that is reached will be final.
